Arrow Electronics

Arrow Electronics, Inc. is a global provider of products, services and solutions to industrial and commercial users of electronic components and enterprise computing solutions, with 2009 sales of $14.7 billion. A Fortune 200 company with 11,300 employees worldwide, Arrow serves as a supply channel partner for over 900 suppliers and 125,000 original equipment manufacturers, contract manufacturers and commercial customers through a global network of more than 310 locations in 51 countries and territories.

Arrow is the largest electronics distributor in Europe, yet each of their companies is as unique as the market it serves.

Arrow Europe needed to bring its remarkable blend of different cultures, languages, customs, and business practices together to create a unified approach to its goals of sales growth, increased market share, and improved inventory quality. In addition, Arrow Europe wanted each company to see beyond its own market — a pan-European vision that would marry strengths, share best practices, and build an integrated team.

Ms. Antypas led her team through the design and development of an 8-day curriculum which included market trend analysis, inventory management, financial analysis, marketing theories and best practices, and negotiating skills. The program relied heavily on complex case studies, games, high-energy activities, and team work.

The Marketing Academy started as a European and quickly became a global program delivered to all Arrow marketing and sales managers worldwide. Ms. Antypas has conducted the Marketing Academy both in the U.S and Europe to audiences representing countries in Europe, Asia Pac, and North America. The Arrow Marketing Academy gathered its own marketing buzz and became the elite, must-attend program to achieve career success within the organization. Approximately excellent 450 marketing and sales professionals have graduated from the Marketing Academy, many of whom have gone on to positions worth within the company.
